Thousands of Abu Dhabi pupils return to school

On Monday, Abu Dhabi students returned to classrooms for the first time this year after a phased return to in-person learning.

Private schools in the capital have resuming face-to-face instruction, along with government-run schools across the country.

After schools were geared up to return to full capacity on January 3, distance learning was temporarily implemented as a precautionary measure amid an upswing in Covid-19 cases.

As pupils reunited with friends and staff on Monday morning, the long wait was finally over.
