Berlin Film Festival. Female dominance of the most prestigious awards

This year’s Berlin International Film Festival announced the winners of the 72nd festival and witnessed fierce competition in which women dominated. The festival ranks among the most important international film festivals with Venice in Italy and Cannes in France.

The Golden Bear award for best director went to Spanish director Caterla Simon for the movie “Alcaras,” and the Silver Bear award went to French director Claire Denis for “Avec Amore A Charmon” with love and determination.

Meltem Kaptan won the Silver Bear for her role in “Rabbi Kornaz vs. George W. Bush” and Leila Stiller won the Silver Bear for her screenwriting.
